Information we collect from customers and contacts

We collect information you provide when you request a quote, book a shipment, contact sales, or contact us. This may include your name, email address, phone number, company name, shipping locations, commodity and equipment details, and other information needed to arrange transportation or provide credentialing.

When you submit the Request a Quote form, we collect the shipment details and contact information you enter (such as your name, company, email, pickup and delivery locations and dates, commodity, equipment type, weight, and any notes). We use them to prepare your quote, and the form sends them to CargoMatchMaker by email. We do not use them for anything else.

When you submit the Contact Sales form, we collect the contact information you enter (your name, company, email, phone number if you give one, your business type, and any message). We use it to respond to you, and the form sends it to CargoMatchMaker by email. We do not use it for anything else.

Driver information

Driver credentialing collects driver identity, the motor carrier the driver works for, insurance on file, and device location at the time of the check from drivers of the motor carriers being considered for a shipment, before the motor carrier is hired and before the rate confirmation is sent. We may also collect driver's license details and photos of a CDL or vehicle VIN when requested. We use this information to credential the driver and keep a record of the shipment.

As a freight agent arranging shipments with licensed brokers, CargoMatchMaker shares the record with the shipper for that shipment, the motor carrier, and the licensed broker handling the shipment.

The shipper may share records with others involved in the shipment, such as warehouses, insurers, or advisors, and we may share information with service providers who help us operate our business. We keep driver records for seven years after the shipment, then delete them, unless the law or a pending claim requires us to keep them longer. Drivers may request access, correction or deletion at privacy@cargomatchmaker.com; we will honor deletion requests unless we need to keep the record for a claim, audit, or legal requirement. We do not use driver information for marketing, and we do not sell it.

Biometric information

We do not collect biometric identifiers or perform facial recognition or face matching.

Use of information

We use customer and contact information to arrange and manage shipments, provide and support credentialing, provide quotes, communicate about loads and accounts, respond to inquiries, and improve our services. We may also send you updates and marketing communications about our services, which you can opt out of at any time.

Data protection

We implement security measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our systems use industry-standard encryption and security protocols designed to keep your data confidential and secure.

Third parties

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share information with trusted service providers who assist us in operating our business, subject to confidentiality agreements. All third parties are required to maintain the confidentiality and security of your information.

If you connect an AI agent, information passes through that agent and its provider, which we don't control.
